Booked

Resolution of any possible difficulty on earth. Relaxing with a cup of coffee, holding a book in your hands, indulged into a world that belongs to you. This is an excerpt from a draft I had written when I was 12, (not to mention I am 14 now, but that still makes a difference)(for me).
I read because it makes me feel relaxed. And every book has a life hidden in it. A life that everyone would love to live because it is simply different from their own. It can make you forget all the fears and tensions of your life and live in a world where you will be free, where you can be who you really want to be. All that in one single book. People often ask, ‘What will we do with our real lives then?’ and believe me, I don’t know myself.
You see, the simple truth of living is being happy. You are happy; you forget your mistakes and move on. You are happy; you have the strength to fulfil destinies, to solve the puzzles of life. There isn’t a better way I’ve got to put it. Of course, books aren’t always happy. I’ve read loads of them which make me cry very easily. Some think it’s silly, but the true readers know that satisfaction a person can get.
I know I exaggerated it, and it’s too dramatic, and childish, immature, and whatever, but I am pleased with my thought there. I love reading. It perplexes my muscles (I don’t know what perplexes means), it relaxes my soul. It is like chocolate, the more you eat, the more you crave for more. I have read, like a hundred books, and I am not overstating here. People should definitely try out this thing, and I recommend books to almost everybody I meet. They think it’s boring, but if you think reading is boring, you’re doing it wrong (to quote the amazing J.K Rowling).
Over all, books are my best friends. They enrich my opinions, my quality of decision making. They never betray me. They are sometimes harsh, for example, Allegiant, but at least they tell the truth. Unlike real people, they don’t comfort me with a lie, but they hit me with the truth. Yes, I have been reading a lot of quotes lately.
Books can let us see the world sitting on a chair, which is not always good. We humans are supposed to be practical beings, so always dreaming and not working would never help. Excessive indulgence into other worlds cannot always be healthy.
So, change your habits, because quality is not an act, it is a habit. Producing a million thoughts was never better than producing 5 efficient ones.

  1. This is something that has meaning to me. It is a sudden realization of what I have been doing wrong all these years
