Influence
There are two types of people- the ones who do anything to
influence people (the leaders), and the ones who get influenced by the other
kind (the followers, no offense). I had a hard time figuring out which group I belonged
to. I mean, I can easily convince someone to get me a chocolate. But I also
like to follow the ideas of other people. It is somehow natural and into my
instinct that I follow whatever seems to me- exciting and adventurous. So does
that mean I am a follower? Not necessarily.
“Leaders don’t create followers, they just create more
leaders.” –Tom Peters.
Yep, that’s right. So, there are followers, but they’re not
like, I don’t know how to explain well, they aren’t 100% total maniac kind of
followers. Like me, for example, I don’t completely follow one person or one
idea, I like to explore and gain knowledge from wherever it flows out.
However, the people who influence, like the first group, are
also further classified. Into good ones and bad ones. The name suggests the
types. The good are for the profit of the follower. The bad care about
themselves. The bad use the followers, and the good celebrate them.
So when in captivity of a bad leader, trust your instincts. Listen
to the inner you. The one who really wants to take the completely rotten risk
but resists from it because it knows the consequences of the actions.
