The Fault was Never in our Stars

“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings.”
-William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

As mentioned in several blogs before this, humans, if they have one thing in common, is that each of them consider themselves unique. Inimitable by any other creature surviving on this planet. And if something relating to us goes wrong, we blame it on what Shakespeare called “The Stars”. Basically destiny. But it’s not. Another thing Shakespeare got right in his work. Boom. The fault is restorable, and it is ours, and solely ours. Not destiny. Poor destiny, everyone blames everything on her.
But what we do not understand is that the base of our existence depends on our mistakes. Mistakes happen, and I do not agree with- “Mistakes shouldn’t be repeated twice.” Mistakes should not be repeated after happening like 5 to 6 times. Doesn’t mean you purposefully make mistakes. It means, if you make a mistake twice, do not give up hope. I did once, and I realise, it’s not the way. It isn’t the way at all. Giving up hope doesn’t help. You have to do it anyway, so why not with a cheerful mind who says, ‘it’s okay’ when it is?

  1. Great writing, also one should learn from his/her own mistakes. Every mistake is a cost which you spend for bright future.
